Evaluation nutritional status and anthropometric parameters in patients with chronic hepatitis B

Introduction: Hepatitis B continues to be a major health problem around the world. 257 million people are estimated chronically infected with hepatitis worldwide. Chronic (CHB) patients likely develop various comorbidities, including diabetes, insulin resistance, hyperlipidemia, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and obesity. Proper nutrition is essential for management of both its associated comorbidities. 
 Material Method: The study was completed total 105 patients. universe comprised CHB who were admitted dietetics outpatient clinic public hospital in Turkey between 1 October 2019 31 December 2019. Biochemical ultrasound results, anthropometric measures, demographic characteristics, dietary habits, 1-day food records retrospectively recorded from patient files. Results: Female more consume 2 main meals per day (57.8%) whereas most male subjects (75.6%) consumed 3 meals. Both female had above-normal Body Mass Index (BMI) (31.2 kg/m2 29.2 kg/m2, respectively), they also high fat (%) cholesterol consumption than recommendation. In addition, males borderline fasting blood glucose (FBG), cholesterol, triglyceride levels, sexes at risk abdominal Dietary carbohydrate, fiber, B1, B6, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus intake higher females. Conclusion: This found on BMI values, (%), Moreover, FBG, setting CHB, it crucial maintain an adequate balanced diet control body weight, prevent nutritional disorders, protect liver, improve overall well-being. More comprehensive studies needed better understand link B.
